The High School belongs to the ITESM Campus Santa Fe which program consists in three main areas: • Teaching: Classrooms, workshops, library and academic offices. • Students Services: Cafeteria, executive dining rooms, congress rooms, auditoriums and administrative offices. • Sports: Football stadium, basketball courts, indoor swimming pool, open fields, gym, aerobics room, dressing rooms and bathrooms. It has been considered to separate the students of High School from them incorporated in the University. The building was built on the other side of the ravine and was integrated to the topography. The campus design in general searched for a contemporary Mexican architecture, where luxury would be in the quality of the spaces and not in the use of the materials or high-tech solutions. The design of the building allows classrooms and offices to enjoy the beautiful views of the valleys. It also adapts in a humble way to its surroundings, causing less impact on its natural terrain. Our interest in the search of solutions allows the maximum use of the natural ventilation and natural light to achieve the highest level of comfort with the minimum use of energy. The selection of the materials, the structural solution and equipment of the project were chosen to be low maintenance buildings, as well as energy conservation that goes with the aesthetic image that represents the Institute’s philosophy.
