The Hilton Garden Inn Hotel is located in the airport area of the city of Monterrey. The hotel is strategically located between Terminals A and B providing the area with an architectural and sculptural element in situ. Each one of the project façades define the character and formal concept of the building while solving the spatial quality and the use of color. The hotel is built on a site with an area of 86,111 Sqft., spaced on 6 levels. It counts with 134 rooms, and public services such as Business Center, Party Rooms, Restaurant-Bar, Gym and Executive Area. The project is formed by two juxtaposed volumes, starting with a rectangular body which is divided into 4 levels that serve as a base for a squared volume which is projected at the end over the lower building. This upper element houses the Hotels Suites which are facing the spectacular views the City of Monterrey has to offer such as “El Cerro de La Silla” and “El Cerro de las Mitras”. This intersection of volumes allows for openings on the east and west facades, emphasized with color, thus reinforcing the formal character of the building. They also contain in their interior the horizontal circulation for the distribution of the guest rooms. The south side of the Hotel is framed by a dual façade formed by metallic panels perforated with a contemporary design. These panels give Terminal B an air of modern elegance and its personality. (integrate Terminal B´s comprehensive context). On the lower level one will find the development of the main services such as the Business Center, Restaurant Bar, Event and Conference Centers, as well as the areas for general facilities such as Kitchen, Laundry Room and general service platforms. On the first floor one will find the special facility rooms such as a handicapped rooms, Gym and administrative area. On the highest level the Executive Business Center and the Suites are located. An immediate connection between the two terminals and the hotel was the main objective. Terminal B is connected to the Hotel by a pedestrian bridge which will serve guests and visitors. This link to the terminals is created by a (shaped) volume that houses a guest elevator and the staircase which ends through a walkway which lands on the first floor of the Hotel.
