The distribution for the buildings in the terrain corresponds to the functions appointed to them: production, service and social. The plant contemplates two principal axes running from north to south and from east to west to obtain the best orientation for the industrial naves and also to get a distribution of the staff as well as the materials, to fulfill the necessities of flow and interrelation of the project. By the north-south axis is located the access plaza with the Renault symbol. From this plaza begins a spinal column formed by a pedestrian wooded corridor distributing the staff to their dressing rooms and working places. This corridor is wide enough to allow the security. The passage on the east side of this spinal column the assembling building, engines tests, study offices, technical reception and storages are located. Between engines tests, study offices and assembling, there is a yard with the finality to provide the function of a psychological element from the exterior atmosphere. Near to this yard the washrooms and the rest rooms are placed from which there is an access to the mentioned yard. Next to the previous volume, to the east, there are the dressing rooms of the storage staff, the factory maintenance and vehicles of the place with their respective dressing rooms and exterior areas. Finally, security is located, from which a perimetrical vehicle circulation starts, communicating security with the protection and an easy access of maintenance vehicles, fireman and ambulance to the wished place. As a pinnacle of the north-south axis, by the staff access, there is the quality control in the ground floor and the production offices in the upper floor. To the south, there is a 26 Sqft wide circulation running from east to west, communicating assembling and storages with machinating and vice versa. At the south of this circulation, leading to the same point, there is the maintenance building and the annexed locals of the assembling. This building has vehicle access by the south side. Along to the south, by this axis, the oils storage and chemical products are located, which, because of the high risk of the fire and explosion, has been separated from the rest of the factory. Annexed to this local, as an unroofed area, there is the industrial remains storage with perimetrical walls and with the possibility of trailers and railways loading for the remains extraction. At the southwest corner of the machinating building, starts a covered communication to the medical services administration and practical training. This building was resolve with a portico circulation in its perimeter and with interior yards to obtain an interior life. The administration building is located at the south of the east-west axis so as to have a complete participation of the green area that surrounds it by three of their sides. This building is next to that of practical training by a yard which finishes, to east, with the circulation to the machinating and to the west with the administration and guests’ access. The east-west axis crosses the buildings transversely, creating a communication between security, maintenance, storages, assembling, machinating, administration and practical training.
