The Zambrano Hellion Medical Center is located in Valle Oriente inside San Pedro Garza Garcia municipality in Nuevo León. The State is having a great development in the field of medicine and it is intended for the new center to have an important part in this stage. This is why the San Jose and Tecnológico Hospital of Monterrey, has wanted to design a second hospital specialized in Cardiology and Cancer. It offers the highest and most technologic services. This is how the team has succeeded in diagnostics and treatment as well as the ability of providing medical and surgical services. The main idea was shaped by developing a master plan of approximately 100,000 m2 of construction which will be developed in various phases; including 300 hospitalization beds, a Diagnostics and Treatment Department, parking lot, and two research buildings. The aim was to design a friendly and positive environment for patients and doctors. Wide and open spaces were created with natural light in each area and with a view either indoors or outdoors. Phase 1 is made of two parking lots for more than 2,000 cars, more than 128 hospitalization rooms, a 10 storey building with consulting rooms, two investigation buildings; one for Cardiology and the other for Cancer, besides all of the general services like emergency rooms, surgery, maternity, newborns, resources for the patients, rehabilitation, a snack bar, and a drugstore; among other things. The Zambrano Hellion Medical Center ITESM is and will be one of the most avantgarde hospitals in Mexico and Latin America.
