Located in a residential area of Los Angeles, California, this house was designed to create its own atmosphere. The access is through a patio limited by walls with different angles and heights. The asymmetry is emphasized by the location of a group of palm trees, and the importance of the garage door is minimized by the presence of a brilliant yellow wall. The back of the house is the consequence of a free positioning of two towers, the library and the studio, which creates an open terrace in between. Downstairs, the pool and the tower of the jacuzzi complement the interaction of shapes and colors. With the use of different types of windows, patios and colors, each area has its own atmosphere and personality, offering different ambiences throughout the day. Intimacy and human scale were carefully considered for the design.
