The house is located on top of a hill with a complete view of San Salvador, enjoying great views but particularly a spectacular view of the volcano. Another important point was to take advantage of the natural topography and of the existing vegetation as much as possible. The house is built in a central volume giving main emphasis to frame the panoramic view of the city in the main areas such as living and dining rooms, bedrooms, however the discovery of the house from the access of the street shows us a very close relationship between interior and exterior; from any point of the house, there are beautiful views of gardens, patios and fountains. The house has covered and uncovered terraces that are an integral part of the familys life in the house; the climate allows a great interrelation of exterior and interior spaces. One important element is the terrace next to the swimming pool as it is oriented towards the south and the city. The interior of the house has a great gallery in the ground floor that allows to distribute the spaces in a lineal form towards the living and dining room, covered terrace, family living room, kitchen and services area, as well as direct us toward the great stairway in order to get to a higher floor where the bedrooms, a TV room and a studio are located. Materials of the region are incorporated to the project in order to make more suitable the relationship with the environment. The house is designed with rustic walls, wooden floors, marble and other type of stones. The color of the house played an important role since we tried to frame the house in the green environment of the context.
